In focus: Innovation

I have designed and delivered targeted communications strategies for a range of innovation and change management-related initiatives, including global digital transformation projects to fundamentally change the way stakeholders engage and access content, and ongoing UNICEF transition, transformation, efficiency and organizational design initiatives. Moreover, I have produced a range of innovation-focused content and count innovation ecosystems among my key research interests.

Global digital transformation projects

I have led global digital transformation projects to fundamentally change the way stakeholders and partners collaborate, engage and access information and resources. This has included the launch of key platforms such as a new global HR intranet site and infrastructure, a new UNICEF Careers external website and revamped digital communities.

Thematic report on procurement and innovation

Managed by UNOPS, the Annual Statistical Report on United Nations Procurement (ASR) is the flagship procurement report for the United Nations system. The report has featured a thematic Supplement on a key issue in procurement, with a foreword by former United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon. I managed the production of the 2012 and 2013 editions of the ASR and its Supplement. This included coordinating content development, editing, design, printing and dissemination. The 2013 thematic supplement focused on procurement and innovation. My work led to increased media coverage and downloads, new partnerships and an expanded media network for UNOPS. WASH communications products covering innovation

As a Media and Communications Officer for the Water and Sanitation Collaborative Council’s Global Sanitation Fund (GSF), I produced and disseminated a range of products capturing the many innovative WASH practices across GSF-supported programmes. Products of note include a case study on WASH learning and innovation, the GSF Progress Report, a partnership and resource mobilization flyer positioning the GSF as an innovative mechanism, and a handbook sharing an innovative behaviour change approach used in rural communities.
