I have designed and delivered targeted communications strategies and content for a range of change management initiatives within large organizations.
Digital transformation
At UNICEF, I led global digital transformation projects to fundamentally change the way 22,000-plus employees collaborate, engage, and access HR information and resources. This included the launch of key platforms such as a new global HR intranet site and digital ecosystem, a new UNICEF Careers external website, and revamped digital communities. Read more
Organizational culture change
Working closely with diverse stakeholders and teams across the organization, I led, coordinated, and contributed to a range of communications strategies supporting UNICEF’s organizational culture change journey, targeting 22,000-plus employees globally. This included promoting and positioning the UNICEF Core Values brand through various channels and platforms, drafting, editing, and publishing a range of high-level messages, articles, and knowledge products, co-developing and implementing campaigns, and revamping content on internal and external digital platforms. UNICEF transition, transformation, efficiency, and organizational design initiatives
Working closely with staff and leaders at all levels of the organization, I played a leading communications role in several ongoing change management initiatives including the HR Transition and Transformation Initiative and Headquarters Efficiencies Initiative. This work included designing and advising on targeted communications strategies, leading the development of digital platforms for engagement and two-way communication, and drafting and editing key management messages and communications products.
For the HR Transition and Transformation Initiative, I advised on and co-developed a targeted communications strategy, participated in and advised diverse and high-level working groups and project teams that comprised senior leaders and technical experts, developed innovative digital platforms for information sharing and collaboration, developed key messages, and drafted and disseminated updates and announcements to target audiences.
I also effectively contributed to the Headquarters Efficiencies Initiative by leading and coordinating communications for the Staff Support Strategy for the initiative. This included advising and participating in cross-divisional working groups, editing and coordinating the design, formatting, and dissemination of the Staff Support Strategy document, advising on and initiating the development of a communications strategy for the Staff Support Strategy, and coordinating the development and launch of the Staff Support Strategy web platform customized for the target audiences.
COVID-19 response
Working with a range of teams, senior executives, technical experts, and other stakeholders, I managed unplanned, unpredictable, high-level, and rapid communications to inform, engage, and mobilize UNICEF’s workforce of over 20,000 employees around the world in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. This included coordinating global announcements detailing how UNICEF HR was supporting employees, coordinating the publishing and dissemination of COVID related policies and guidance released by UNICEF and the UNICEF Secretariat, curating and publishing staff stories and content to inspire and educate, and developing, publishing, editing, and managing platforms for staff to access information, advice, and tools.
