Leadership and management
Through effective planning and a focus on values, inclusivity, and collaboration, I have successfully led and managed a diverse range of partners, projects, and activities in complex and rapidly evolving contexts. Moreover, I have consistently worked to nurture, coach, inspire, and empower colleagues and teams. My experience managing diverse communications teams and budgets at UNICEF and UNOPS, recruiting team members, mentoring and supervising staff and consultants, serving as officer-in-charge, and working in UNICEF’s Division of People and Culture, has prepared me to be an effective people and team manager. Through proven coordination, organizational and interpersonal skills, I continue to galvanize diverse staff and stakeholders to collectively deliver impactful results.
Collaborating with diverse stakeholders
Throughout my career, I have collaborated with a wide range of stakeholders across sectors and the globe to promote joint priorities and deliver successful projects, programs, campaigns, content, products, events, and results. Utilizing a range of digital platforms, I have effectively coordinated communications with internal teams, senior leaders, working groups, donors, regional, national, state, and local government agencies, civil society and media entities, private sector organizations, public sector partners, and across member organizations, a consortium, a multi-partner trust fund, and UN interagency groups. Through this collaboration, I have successfully steered stakeholders towards common objectives and enhanced the positioning and visibility of programs, transformed advocacy and engagement, mobilized partnerships and donor funding, driven organizational change and digital transformation, and increased media coverage.
Championing strong and strategic partnerships
Throughout my career, I have established, managed, and nurtured strategic partnerships with UN, government, donor, nonprofit, academic, civil society, media, and private sector partners to strengthen programs, diversify funding, deliver joint publications, content, campaigns, and events, and promote initiatives on media platforms. I have also led communications for specific partnership initiatives including the Water Supply and Sanitation Collaborative Council, the Global Sanitation Fund, and the UN interagency Communications Group in Denmark.
Moreover, I have led the production, dissemination, and coordination of impactful communications content and products targeting current and potential partners. This includes widely accessed partnership brochures and marketing materials, factsheets, articles, reports, presentations, websites and extranets, events, newsletters, audiovisual and social media content, and resources to support the work of partners.
Through strategic media partnerships, I have coordinated media missions to program countries and promotional content on a range of media outlets including Global Citizen, Devex, The Economist, The Guardian, and HuffPost, which enhanced media coverage for programs. As part of my work for The Courier Magazine, I established dozens of media and distribution partnerships with public and private institutions around the world.
